Richard Beidl, MBA RFC®

Richard Beidl is an international financial strategy professional and senior executive bringing more than 30 years of experience to his clients. For many years he was also a nationally recognized financial services industry analyst, consultant, speaker, and strategist. Richard is President of Phi Beta Kapital Investments — recently renamed Matrix Private Wealth Solutions — a financial strategy firm specializing in wealth management, advanced tax and legacy planning, and financial education.

As a leading firm in securities, investments, and financial strategies, and by utilizing the Matrix Roadmap process, Matrix works with investors holistically, focusing on solutions, not products, to lower risk, lower volatility, and create successful solutions for added peace of mind.

After many years with large financial institutions, consultants, and financial product and technology providers, Richard founded Phi Beta Kapital in 2005, and then formed his own Registered Investment Advisor in 2013 to best provide the comprehensive planning and investment advisory services needed by his clients. What he saw lacking at those institutions, he now provides to retirees, pre-retirees, entrepreneurs, and business owners to reach their retirement goals. As an Investment Advisor, Richard and Matrix adhere to the fiduciary standard of care, not just a suitability standard.

The hallmark of his services is risk management. “We approach everything holistically and from a risk-managed perspective,” Richard says. “Our goal is to match or exceed market performance with lower risk and volatility, and to better plan for tax and inflation uncertainty. As an independent firm, we are not limited to any single financial product provider, but are free to search the marketplace for solutions that best suit each client’s unique needs.”

Richard has shared his experience through more than a hundred published industry research papers, more than 50 articles, and over 200 presentations/speeches as a featured or keynote speaker at financial services conferences in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. His dedication to helping others succeed financially has led to a loyal, growing clientele and business.

Richard holds an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, with a certificate in financial engineering and concentrations in both investment management and strategic management and consulting. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in management and concentrations in finance and mathematics. He also holds the Series 66 securities license and the professional designation of Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) — both of which required advanced coursework in a broad range of business and financial subjects.
